Núcleo dos Camionistas do Minho
NUCAMINHO
Núcleo de Camionistas do Minho, under the acronym NUCAMINHO,
was founded in September 2, 2000, by a group of friends, Truck drivers, with
the purpose of promoting the professional class before the public opinion and,
simultaneously, to supply the friendship ties and conviviality among all the
interveners. However, as extraordinary as it may seem, at the base of the
creation of this association there was a beautiful and amazing rooster, nicknamed
"Quim", that wandered in the restaurant’s
garden, and one of the present persons said, “That rooster would make a nice cabidela rice.” In
The resolution of the bureaucratic steps, not always easy, was
dealt with the precious collaboration of the radio show "Bom Dia", by José Candeias of Rádio Renascença, counting also on the cooperation of the Civil
Government of Braga, the
Since then, Nucaminho has been
developing countless activities, enhancing the Traffic Safety, the participation
in sports events, truck concentrations, partnerships with several associations
and entities, conviviality with the purpose of involving all the population, blood
collections, collaboration in several campaigns, participation in festivals and
pilgrimages of our area, with the truck, to publicize the association and bring
in new members, presently having almost 1,000 members
from every region of the Country.
